• Rectification — correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure — deletion where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
• Restriction — pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
• Portability — receive data you gave us in a machine-readable form.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing.

Making a request

Send a request through the contact page, choosing “data protection request”. We may ask for enough information to confirm the request comes from you. Requests are answered within one month, extendable where the request is complex.

Journalistic processing

Some processing carried out for journalism carries exemptions under data protection law, including where complying would be incompatible with publishing in the public interest. Where an exemption is relied on, we will say so in our response rather than ignore the request.

You can complain to your national supervisory authority. We would rather hear from you first so we can put a problem right.
